Oakleigh Project successfully manages development and release of major Government Science and Technology application "Scimorph" for UK Schools.
Oakleigh Consulting was responsible for the Project management of the "Scimorph" application development. Along with partners Manchester Metropolitan University, who delivered Pedagogical guidance, and Great Fridays, who developed the application in Augmented Reality, Oakleigh ensured the successful delivery of the project in a short timeframe, resulting in a ministerial launch by Vernon Coaker, Schools Minister, at BETT on Wednesday 13th January 2010 (click here for further details).
Scimorph is an animated character rendered in Augmented Reality technology which encourages children to engage with Science and Technology curriculum through experiments which they can perform with his help. It is available free to all schools and other users here.
