Lean Outcomes Framework to meet growing Public Sector demand
Following the recent launch of the Lean Outcomes Framework, interest and enquiry is increasing significantly across the spectrum of Public Sector organisations.
Lean Outcomes Framework (LOF) is an integrated model to realise and optimise the outcomes and benefits from Lean methodologies and approaches and is a joint venture between Oakleigh Consulting and Vissap Ltd. The LOF was designed, developed and tested by David Lees, Lead Consultant of Oakleigh Health Division, and Steve Manojlovic, Public Sector Engagement Lead for Vissap, primarily to address demand and challenges to maximise targeted outcomes, highlighted by NHS clients. We have worked with our NHS partners to refine and validate the framework model and we currently deliver the benefits of LOF, based on knowledge and skills transfer. in partnership with Vissap in two major Acute Hospital Trusts.
Lean Outcomes Framework represents a groundbreaking and innovative approach that incorporates Benefits Realisation and Lean thinking. This evidenced methodology addresses both the organisational culture and processes to allow the structure and principles of Benefits Realisation to underpin the creative Lean journey, through defined and accountable dynamics. Through our wide client base within the NHS we understand the current challenges facing the health and social care economy with increasing focus on:
- Identification and eradication of waste and inefficiency.
- Improving resource and capacity management.
- Service and workforce development.
We understand that these challenges are taking place within a cost focus environment across the public sector, where demonstrating transparency and value driven benefits within each level of commissioning and provider services is ever more critical.
Lean Outcomes Framework can deliver immediate and ongoing improvements in resource management and productivity aligned to organisational and service strategic objectives, and provides a template of continuous improvement culture throughout Public Sector organisations. Discussions are currently underway to explore the application of LOF to challenges in Primary Care, Local Authorities, and also within Central Government departments.
