New Director appointed for Justice and Home Affairs
We are delighted to announce that Francis Galliano has joined Oakleigh to lead and develop our work in the Justice and Home Affairs sector. Francis brings a wealth experience from both public and private sectors, where he has led large technology-enabled change programmes in government in addition to developing consultancy services in the IT industry.
Whilst in the Home Office, Francis was the founding programme director of the Criminal Justice IT Programme, one of the largest IT-enabled change programmes in government. This programme provided the technology and re-engineered business processes to enable information sharing between the Police, the Crown Prosecution Service, the Courts, Prisons and Probation. Following this, Francis moved to Fujitsu where he set up a consulting practice that provided expertise in the justice sector and developed strategy for new business in IT and related outsourcing services. Prior to that, Francis led a major change programme in the BBC to digitise the Archives and he developed their strategy for managing media assets in a digital world. He has also worked in the telecommunications sector.
Francis says ...
“Oakleigh consultants have experience in two areas that will be especially important for clients in the Justice sector. They have worked extensively with partner agencies in Education, Health and Local Government. As partnership working will become more vital than ever in the tightening fiscal climate, this experience will prove invaluable for the Justice sector. In addition, we have solid experience in mergers and post-merger consolidation from both public and private sectors and these skills will also be in great demand. I am delighted to have joined an organisation that can bring to clients real-world experience coupled with solid professionalism in programme management, business change and IT.”
Apart from a professional interest in justice, Francis does voluntary work with a charity that assists ex-offenders to resettle, following release from custody.
