Becta commissions Oakleigh to support strategy development for FE and Skills

Becta has commissioned Oakleigh to carry out a review of the needs of FE and skills; and to work with Becta and its key partners to propose a vision, strategy and implementation plan for technology prioritising the14-19 strategy and the Leitch implementation plan.

Becta is significantly increasing its commitment to the FE and Skills sector and plans to position itself as the key strategic partner for the use of ICT in the sector by December 2007. The strategy will articulate a clear vision and provide a framework for delivery that will be detailed in the Implementation Plan. The Implementation Plan will clearly establish who is responsible for doing what and by when.

Oakleigh is working closely with Becta and its partners to deliver the strategy by December 2007 and the Implementation Plan by early February 2008.
