Informing Health Care commission Oakleigh for Phase II of the Configuration Management Framework for the Cancer Network Information System Cymru (CaNISC).

Oakleigh has been successful in placing a senior consultant into the IHC to scope Phase II of the Configuration Management Framework for the Cancer Network Information System Cymru (CaNISC). This centralised database has been developed as part of the Cancer Information Framework (CIF) within Wales. Use of this software is increasing in both scope and profile and this has increased the speed and complexity of the software development process. OCL has recently been assisting IHC in addressing the management issues arising from this.

Phase I of the work successfully concluded with the acceptance by the IHC and Velindre NHS Trust of our Configuration Management Report. This outlined the documentation, processes and 'good practice' required to support the use of Visual Team Studio to control the configuration elements as part of the software release process. Phase II of the work will consist of working alongside the development staff to assist with the redesign, deployment and change control required to implement the framework's recommendations.
